EVEN MORE PHOTOS FROM THE 2/15 ANTI-WAR PROTEST IN NYC
There were somewhat bizarre signs...
...and somewhat tasteless and lewd (if funny) signs...
...which were really kind of inappropriate, considering how many people dragged their young kids along to use as political props for the UN and the Socialist Worker...
And just in case you thought that the good, patriotic anti-war people had absolutely nothing to do with those icky ANSWER people, here's but one of many ANSWER signs I saw at the rally:
A heck of a lot of people had flags with them, either to wave, or to wear as capes (shoddy protection from the bitter cold, I'd say).
I tried not to take too many doubles of various red flags flying, and I missed a shot of the guy with a Palestinian flag as I was approaching the rally. I did get some not-so-great shots of a bunch of people wearing khaffiyehs, including a white, obviously-non-Arab teenage girl. (No, it wasn't an abaya or headscarf, it was a khaffiyeh. Militancy and ignorance all in one package!)
